    Description

    An original .58 caliber worm (or Wiper) from the 1830s - 1840s with a threaded shaft.  Possibly Prussian.
    Soldiers attached it to the gun’s ramrod, and, using cloth or other material, cleaned out the barrel of the gun.
    Overall length is 2 inches, shaft is 17/64 inches.
    Condition is excellent.
