    Wonderful Quarter Plate British Ambrotype of Man and Son In Kilt. Signed case.   This is a truly fabulous ambrotype of a man with his tartan vest sitting with his son.   The man has his top hat in front of him and his son is wearing his kilt. The son has a great head of  blonde hair.   Great composition in this large image.   The dark green velvet pillow is a lovely contrast.  The case is full, though taped.  Its stamped Farmer's from Brighton, England.  Were they on Holiday?   Who knows.  They are definitely showing off their Scottish roots!!
