    Description

    Classic vintage round waffle iron: Toastmaster W252, purchased by me in the early '90s at Whole Earth Access in San Francisco, California. Waffle size is 8 inches in diameter.
    I used it a couple of times, cleaned it, and put it back in its box, where it's been for close to 20 years.
    This is a product of sturdy, old-fashioned US manufacturing, made in Boonville, Missouri. It's mostly metal. The top is finished in chrome, cooking surface has a non-stick coating, handles and legs are Bakelite. I tested it; the light on the top came on showing the cooking surface is heating up. It got hot.
