Vintage Sculpture by Mexican Artist J.Pinal/Jose Pinal (1913-1983). Hand-Carved Wooden Cat with Arched Back ca.1955 from my family's trip to Mexico. This artist carved his initials on the bottom of its paw.

This is my 2nd Jose Pinal piece I've sold. I recently sold a carved wooden hand by this artist as well. Very popular artist in Mexico. My family purchased both at the same time around 1955 on their trip to Mexico.

Piece is in good condition, however, I noticed some scratches on it's upper tail (see pic), but am unsure if the artist did this or post sale?
