    Description

This was purchased, used, 40 years ago.  I was told this is the type of wafflemaker used in upscale restaurants long ago--the waffles would be baked at the clients table. It sits on its own built in pedestal with a drip tray. BAKELITE handles on each side and a BAKELITE teardrop handle to lift the top.
This piece has a light to show it has reached proper temperature for use. The pedestal stand sits on black legs that appear to be BAKELITE as well. They are all intact. The iron shows typical wear and tear i.e. fine scratches on the chrome from use. The front of the iron shows those brown spots that show up in chrome pieces that get hot--I believe they can be removed with oven cleaner.  Nothing that detracts from the appearance in my opinion.
There is a small dent on the outside top rim --see photo--and the teardrop handle is chipped a a bit at the top--see photos for the full story.
