    Description

    Up for sale is this Very Rare Scovill Manufacturing Co Collodion Wet Plate Lifter c1880's.This is made to help lift a glass plate from developing/fixing tray. It is made just like a thimble with a blade soldered to it (overall length about 1.25 inches long). It looks to be silver or nickel plated brass. This plate brassy with lots of patina and has been used well. The blade is stamped "Scovill Mfg Co" ... (Scovill Manufacturing Company). It is in great condition with some normal signs of use and a little rust stains.
