    Description

Sept 1950 HATCHERY & FEED magazine Sam Honegger Cover Fairbury, ILL -Big H Feeds
This magazine has a nice feature on Honegger's feeds in Fairbury, Illinois. It also have lots of other 1950 feed and hatchery advertising from other companies. As well as several advertisements from Honnegers I did find a Salute to Honeggers advertising from the Toledo, Peoria, & Western Railroad company as well. There is 67 pages of really neat stuff in this magazine. It has wear both to the front and back cover, with spotting on the back cover. No folded pages, no rips, and no writing that I could find. Pages are clean.  I will ship this with a protective cardboard backing so that it it will not be damaged or bent in shipping.  This magazine smells a little like old paper. Not strong, but I smell it so I am mentioning it.

or many years, Fairbury was home to Honeggers’ Feeds – an innovative feed company formed by Sam and Frank Honegger in 1928. The Honeggers first established their feed operation in Forrest, Illinois, but soon relocated west to Fairbury. When the Fairbury plant was destroyed by a fire in 1949, Honeggers’ broke ground in 1950 on a modern plant on the west side of Fairbury. Honeggers flourished throughout the 1950s and early 1960s expanding into nine other states, but by the late 1960s the company was in serious financial trouble and was sold to Petroleum Resources Corporation. PRC shed unprofitable lines and plants and restored the company to financial health before selling it to EHE Corporation in the late 1970s, but the company continued to experience financial difficulties before ceasing operations in 1989.
I ship Monday thru Friday. I leave for the post office everyday at 3pm Central time.  All purchases ship within 48 hours of completed payment, barring Sunday's and Postal Service holidays.
Our mail goes through the Chicago post office, about 3% of our first class packages are delivered one or two days later than anticipated by ebay. Holiday's and inclement weather,  can cause postal delays. I have seen delays for no fathomable reason other than the Chicago post office is a busy place.  Please watch your tracking number and if your package status changes to "ARRIVING LATE"  know that this is the result of the mail clog at the Chicago post office and it is beyond our control. Please message me with any concerns, I am happy to assist you.
Thanks for looking, happy eBaying, and God bless.
I offer free returns on almost all items. I am happy to accept returns, however-Free returns are not "FREE" for me. Often times this costs Shipping both ways and the price of tape, envelopes,  and sometimes specialty shipping supplies if they cannot be salvaged for reuse. Items should be returned in the same condition they arrived, with no parts removed- thanks
I ask that you please take all measurements before your purchase. If you have questions about an item, PLEASE, ASK. I answer every question and I want you to be delighted with your purchase. There is a customer service number located in the header of my store, it is my direct number, call me, that's what it is there for.
Ebay is not my hobby, it is my profession. I am not a corporation, I am a stay at home mom with kids to feed.  I make every effort to describe all items accurately and I ask that you please consider your purchases carefully, because I am not Wal-Mart and I cannot afford frivolous returns.
