    Description

    Very small antique lamp. Stamped with star and "THE NEW YORK SAFETY LAMP". Aqua blue glass. kerosene or maybe whale oil lamp. Very old. About 4 1/4" tall. Has some rust. I searched & searched but could not find any info or mention of this lamp or the company anywhere; so must be rare. I think it dates to around the Civil War days, such as used by soldiers, but not sure.
