    Description

Campbell Seed got its start in north central Indiana Tipton County on a five-acre plot in 1936. As with other family-owned seed companies, it grew slowly over the years, but unlike other family-owned seed companies, it didn't sell out until 2006, and then to several Campbell family members. They updated the company's name to Total Seed, and you can see their signs in northern Indiana corn fields today. We aren't sure if they still used Campbell signs after 2006, but this is probably New Original Stock from before the name change.
The sign has no visible scratches, chips, marks, or other paint damage, almost better than some new original stock. It measures 18 x 4.5 x .75 inches (46 x 11 x 2 cm). It is one of those spinning type seed sign. Mounted on a round pole with a washer and something else to hold it up, the sign can spin in strong-enough winds even though it is made of thicker metal. Never used, the holes are pristine. A great find for Midwestern seed sign collectors (how many can there be in this condition?), general agricultural collections, country and general stores, feed stores, or as backyard decoration if you have a reasonably steady breeze. Could keep the crows away from your corn. Check out our other agricultural collectibles (ever see a 1900s hand corn shucker?) at www.ebay.com/str/agitpropshoppe
