    Description

Neat Cast Iron Metal Salesman Sample Pig Moorman Quincy IL Rare 1940s?. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.
Neat cast iron metal pig, I was able to find a few that have sold previously at auction, appear to have been used by salesman for Moorman pork as a sample. The two sides of the pig open up to show the pig interior.
Im assuming if you are looking at this you know what it is, so focusing on condition stuff, the pig was obviously mounted atop a wooden board. Maybe someone made it so it had a trough in front for display? Not sure. Unsure if it is original, Im guessing not, but the wood looks quite old. Might be missing a few screws on the underside
This one seems different from all the other ones ive seen, it does not have a carrying handle on the top. It is strange, because it does not seem to have been made with having that handle anywhere along the top. The pig halves secure with a few screws and brackets, one portion is definitely not original there, one of the screws I mean, see the photos.
Obviously the exterior and interior of the pig has scuffs and wear and all that. Unsure if it was ever painted, or if it was that black color always.
All together it weighs between 11 and 12 pounds. The wood plank is about 22 inches from end to end. The pig itself is about 8.5 inches tall and between 14 and 15 inches tail to snout.
Being unsure about how to price this, may have listed it at a price high to be safe. Taking offers on this one for sure, if you have any questions shoot me a message, thanks.
This was previously listed by my brother, and he isnt selling on ebay currently, so im listing it here.
