A beautiful country store seed crate from Mel. L. Webster, Seedsman of Waco, Texas and Independence, Iowa.
Interior label shows the kind of wear you might expect in a seed box that is well over 100 years old.
Exterior label is considerably more worn.
Box itself is excellent with no cracks or warping.
Label was printed by the Stecher Lithography Company of Rochester, New York. Well known for the quality of their work in the late 19th century.
Box measures 29" across, 15" deep, and 6" tall.
