    Here's a very nice and unusual style of brass sash buckle dug on private land near the battlefield of Hatcher's Run, outside of Petersburg, Va. It's in very nice condition with a great looking green patina. This type would have the sash run through one loop, under the buckle and out of the other loop. Then, likely pinned there. A very nice addition to your sash buckle or relic collection. Plmk if I can provide any further info or photos.
