Description
DISNEYLAND SLEEPING BEAUTY JEWELED CASTLE 50TH BIG FIG NIKOLAI. Condition is "Used". This is a rare big fig that is hard to find, I have had this on display since 2005 in a smoke free home. The castle is decorated with the tiaras like the original one had as a 50th anniversary makeover in Disneyland. The big fig plays "When you Wish Upon A Star" and please see photos to see how it lights up. This is about 18" to its highest point, 15" across and 13" from front to back. The base says "1955 Sleeping Beauty Castle 2005" and has sort of a patina look. I have the original box, albeit a little beat up from being in my garage, as well as the COA which definitely has some crease marks and the back of it is kind of rough from being in storage for 15 years. I have to make this pick up only (I live about 20 min from St. Louis, MO) since it's so delicate and heavy that even in the original box I don't trust the delicate pieces to be able to ship intact. I used to unbox these new out of the box and they would be frequently damaged so even double boxed I just don't trust it will ship well. Any questions please ask, I will be happy to answer! The COA says "Sleeping Beauty Jeweled Castle is the proud symbol of Disneyland Park, a shining entry to an enchanted realm. This magical figurine represents the joining of the old and the new for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney's original theme park. Imagineer Larry Nikolai has recreated the original castle as it appeared in 1955, and has combined it with the magnificent golden anniversary overlay of 2005 as designed by Kim Irvine, Imagineering Concept and Show Design Director. Each of the five jeweled crowns celebrates a decade of park history, and the swags and banners compliment the sparkling new colors on the castle walls. In a salute to the past, the ornate base is the exact shape of the outside boundaries of Disneyland on opening day."
Please note: this item is pickup only, I am UNABLE to ship it due to its delicate and heavy nature. You won't regret a trip out here, Saint Louis has toasted ravioli and the City Museum! I'm flexible about quite a bit; I may be able to drive out to meet you half way, I can buy you lunch, I might be able to find something else fun and Disney to throw in as a gift, but there are not a lot of these in good shape out there and shipping is not negotiable because I want someone else to enjoy it in good shape. I have bought a lot of big figs from Disneyland directly and have had to have several boxes opened to find one in good shape. These aren't known for shipping well.
