    Description

    Antique 19th century, c1850s, ninth plate ambrotype photograph.  Depicts a portrait of a dapper boy in period suit and tie sitting in a chair.  The glass is backed with an old faded tintype of a Civil War soldier but all thet can be seen are the gold buttons and chain and the faint outline of his face and hat.  Housed in a brass mat, preserver and leather half case.
    In Good overall condition.  Clean and bright.  Tintype is in Poor condition and the soldier is not really visible.  Half case is clean with gentle wear.  Displays handsomely.
    Measures 2” x 2 1/2”.  Case measures 3” x 2 1/2”.
