An early Civil War era dug blackglass 3 pc mold blown PATENT whiskey bottle with an unusual glasshouse maker's mark on bottom....

boldly emb on bottom.....Hand blown in 3 pc mold, bimal.....early smooth base.....crude applied collar....dark olive green blackglass.....round whiskey bottle...11 1/4"tall....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. A dug bottle with some normal haze and light surface scratches. A smooth slight white bubble ping. The P&R BRISTOL stands for Powell & Ricketts glass works of Bristol, England. This mark was used beginning in 1856 or 1857. This bottle was blown between 1857-1865
