  • Condition: This offering is for an antique early 19th century circa 1840's olive green Demi John Bottle. The bottle is fairly large measuring app. 18" in height and 7.5" in diameter. I believe it was made in a three piece mold with a seam line that runs horizontally below the shoulder and another that runs vertically from that seam to the bottom of the neck. The moth is finished with a heavy sloping collar that's a little crude. Please note that there are two small flat shallow flakes on the collar. One is app. 1/8" square the other is app. 1/8" wide and 3/8" long, both are shown in our close-ups below. The base has a large pontil scar with a ring of appropriate base wear as well. The color is a medium olive green with a fairly strong yellow tint. The glass is crude with a few bubbles and swirls. The inside is a little dusty but I haven't tried to clean it, been afraid of damaging it.
