    9th plate, Berg #1-162 The Chess Game with Berg #3-290 Geometric on the back (054).
    This is a nice dark brown case which is in lovely condition. Though some original luster has dulled, the casting is sharp and clear with no chips or cracks. There is a minor amount of scuffing on some edges but otherwise, the case shows little evidence of use and wear. Excellent hinges and latch. Very good deep blue pillow, fancy oval mat and frame (with only a touch of verdigris) and a great ambrotype of a woman with gold jewelry.
