    ITEM:
Antique C. 1854 Ambrotype Photograph of Mother and Child SARAN ANN McCUTCHEON GOATES and BENJAMIN GOATES
    DESCRIPTION
    :
    C. 1854 Antique Ambrotype Photograph Framed which depicts a mother and her son. I am not an expert on these it is either a tin type or specifically an ambrotype from what I researched. The McCutchen name comes up as McCutheon online so it was likely just misspelled on the print out tag. The tag that was with it says it is SARAH ANN "Sallie" McCUTCHEON GOATES WITH BENJAMIN FRANKLIN GOATES. With a quick search these people do come up and Sarah was born in Giles, Tennessee February 11th 1834 and died in Troy, Bell, Texas on June 13th 1924. She is the daughter of Ezekiel Norris McCutcheon and Nancy Melvina Hale. She was married to John William "Terry" Goates in about 1852 in Newton County Arkansas. They had 16 children in total and Benjamin is just one of the children they had. Perhaps these are relatives or distant ancestors of yours and if so this is a must have for you! Just great that they are identified people that is pretty rare with these old tin types. This would make a great display piece, resell in your shop, investment, wonderful gift, for historical collection, or perhaps you are related to these people!

    ABOUT ME:
When I was young I was a big time collector and enjoyed collecting baseball cards, comic books, video games, etc. My father was a bottle and rock collector and later in his life he enjoyed reselling antiques as well. My great grandfather had a Museum in New Hampshire and was also a big time collector in his day, so in short this is in my DNA. I am passionate about what I do and love hunting for rare and obscure items that I think others will love as well. I consider myself a collector for collectors and what I mean by that is I enjoy finding and selling things that are rare and desired by others. I also know as a collector that you always want to get a deal on the item that you have been looking for, so this is what I am trying to do here on eBay. I am a long time member with a great feedback score and am trustworthy and honest. If you see any mistakes or errors in the listing please let me know and I will fix it, I am by no means an expert on everything that I sell. I love doing .95 auctions with no reserve and whenever possible enjoy listing mixed lots. Please check my eBay Store as well and if you have any questions or concerns please just email me through eBay mail thanks!
