  • Condition: Excellent Condition. Complete leather case with velvet interior to cover the ambrotype. It is dated July 1864 from Clinton, MA where the artist, J.J. Boynton did his photography. This was taken during the Civil War and is also stamped Cut's Pat. above the date. Some of the leaves on the trees are hand painted. I was told the woman in the photo is Native American, but I cannot verify her ancestry. I am very happy to present this quality item for your consideration. The case is approx. 3 9/16" by 2 1/8".

    Antique Ambrotype Superior Quality Ornate Leather Case Clinton, MA  Boynton 1864
    Excellent Condition.  Complete leather case with velvet interior to cover the ambrotype.  It is dated July 1864 from Clinton, MA where the artist, J.J. Boynton did his photography.  This was taken during the Civil War and is also stamped Cut's Pat. above the date.  Some of the leaves on the trees are hand painted.  I was told the woman in the photo is Native American, but I cannot verify her ancestry.  I am very happy to present this quality item for your consideration.
