    Description

    Handsome Samuel Clemons, Huck Finn era looking Man with watch fob chain Ambrotype glass image in full case.
    Clothing and hairstyle date this to 1850's -1860's.  The estate it came from was TEXAS ancestors.
    This is a Sixth-Plate image.  Inside is Ruby Velvet embossed liner with the photo side having an elaborate pressed gold trim frame matting.
    Glass plate measures apx 2 3/4 x 3 1/4 and is surrounded by a copper strip holding the black painted glass to the photo image.
    Measures: Folded closed 3 1/2" x 3 7/8" x apx 7/8 inch thick. Opened up it is 7" wide open x 3 7/8 high x apx 1/2 inch thick.
    Brown case of Gutta Percha material.  It has some chipping along the edges normal for its age. A huge antlered Fallow Deer Buck and Doe pose on the front and back with island palm trees in the background. Original hinges intact. Case snaps shut as it should.
