We are offering a RARE 1894 Booklet for Farmers by Bradley Fertilizer Co., Boston, Massachusetts.  3 3/4" x 6 1/2".
There is an 1894 calendar on the inside of the front cover.  Next is the history of company, which was founded in 1861, describing its amazing growth in a few short years.  Bradley had offices in Massachusetts, New York, Ohio and Georgia.
The booklet contains advertisements with pictures of the different fertilizers manufactured by the company giving details of their products' superiority -
Super Phosphate, Sea Fowl Guano, Potato Fertilizer, Ammoniated Dissolved Bones, Chemical Manure for Grains, Tobacco, and Grass, Fruit & Vine Fertilizer, and Lawn Fertilizer.
There are
dozens of testimonials, with photographs
, from the farmers of many different crops, stating that Bradley's fertilizers are the best on the market, producing high yields and superior quality crops.
Bradley gives detailed directions on the best method of applying the fertilizers on a variety of crops -
vegetables, grains, fruit trees, vines, berries and tobacco.
Next comes 12 lined pages - one for each month of the year - where a farmer could keep a monthly record of the growth and harvesting of his crops
(the pages have not been written in).  Each page has a great vignette of a farming scene that relates to that month, including farm animals; hauling logs from the woods; plowing; planting; hoeing & weeding; hauling cut hay from the field; cows drinking from a stream; harvesting; picking fruit; turkeys, ducks & chickens in the barnyard; and cutting up the hay on the barn floor to feed the animals during the winter.
Next there are 4 pages where a farmer could keep records of his expenses
