1888 LIBERTY "V" NICKEL PCGS MS 64 EXCELLENT COLOR LUSTER STRIKE AND SUPER TOUGH. With an unremarkable mintage, and relatively pedestrian Certified Populations, it would seem that this date would be much more frequently encountered. However, for some reason unknown to me, this date is rarely seen, and as measured by valuation, can be considered a key date. As a whole, this series has to be among the most underrated in all of numismatics. This is a verey attractive example, with a virtually invisible spot below th "E" in UNITED.
