An 1884 proof liberty head nickel graded PR 63 by PCGS. It carries an excellent proof quality strike throughout both sides and has been housed in an older style PCGS holder. A very affordable coin for having such a low mintage.
This proof issue date holds a tiny mintage of only 3,942. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,200 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 136 graded Proof 63 by PCGS.
