    Description

Here's an early 1700s Colonial era blackglass Dutch Onion rum bottle that was dug from an early well or privy pit in New Orleans.....it has the top broken off, but you can put a cork in it and make a nice display bottle.....Free blown...open pontil....dark olive green .....6 1/2"tall....top broken off with a 1"crack on neck; no other damage. Heavy etched wormlike patterns on the surface of the glass from being buried in wet soil for over 250 years!
