Classical armchair for dolls 1/4, Louis XVI style, BJD doll furniture, for doll 35-44 cm (16 inch). Handmade.

Louis XVI style is a style of architecture, furniture, decoration and art which developed in France during the 19-year reign of Louis XVI (1774–1793), just before the French Revolution.
Louis XVI furniture is characterized by elegance and neoclassicism, a return to ancient Greek and Roman models. Classic revival replaced curves with straight lines and ended the baroque rococo asymmetry. This suited the taste of the English to the extent that they perfected the form and spread it throughout the western world.
